Job Description
Summary:
A Title Clerk’s assist Title Examiners in pulling recorded documents and maps. Additional responsibilities entail preparation, scanning and filing of title files, operating applicable programs to accomplish assigned duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Check the county in which the property is located and confirm legal description
- Send property information to title plant for title examiners to review property search
- Back-up recording desk
- Make sure customer service requests are filled in a timely manner
- Must have good communication skills and customer service skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities in this position.
Competency Standards:
- Good reading skills with the ability to interpret documents and procedure manuals
- Good communication skills
- Ability to learn systems, technologies and software as necessary
- Has the ability to effectively and efficiently learn title insurance products and their various functions

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk for long periods of time, twist to reach equipment that surrounds desk, use telephone, and operate office equipment.
