Position: General Manager
Leadership & Culture
- Serve as the on-property leader and decision-maker, responsible for culture, morale, and performance.
- Lead a lean, cross-functional management team with a hands-on leadership style.
- Foster a family-first, people-driven culture while maintaining high operational discipline.
- Set clear expectations, hold teams accountable, and lead by example.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Breakfast Service.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, SOPs, and service expectations.
- Personally monitor daily operations through property walks, morning stand-ups, and shift checks.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
Financial & Labor Management
- Own the P&L performance of the hotel with strong focus on labor efficiency and cost control.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reviews.
- Actively manage labor scheduling to align staffing with occupancy and demand.
- Control operating expenses, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Maximize profitability while protecting service standards.
Revenue & Market Performance
- Partner with corporate revenue and sales teams to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Execute local sales efforts including corporate accounts, negotiated rates, and community partnerships.
- Monitor comp set performance and market trends.
- Ensure rate integrity and proper inventory management.
Guest Experience & Brand Compliance
- Drive consistent, efficient, and friendly guest experiences aligned with select-service expectations.
- Personally oversee guest recovery and resolution of escalated service issues.
- Monitor guest feedback, reviews, and brand scores; implement corrective actions.
- Prepare for and successfully complete brand audits and quality assurance inspections.
Housekeeping & Asset Care
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards through effective scheduling, inspections, and training.
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed consistently.
- Proactively identify capital needs and work with ownership on planning and execution.
- Protect and enhance the physical condition and value of the asset.
Talent & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and retain a reliable, service-oriented team in a high-turnover environment.
- Cross-train team members to support lean staffing models.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching.
- Build future leaders and internal bench strength.
Compliance, Safety & Risk
- Ensure compliance with brand requirements, local/state regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and well-run property for guests and staff.
- Oversee safety protocols, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness.
Ownership & Corporate Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for ownership and corporate leadership.
- Provide timely reporting on operations, financials, staffing, and performance.
- Communicate challenges early and propose solutions.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
