Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CNC Milling Set Up Technician with strong experience in multi-axis CNC milling. This role is critical to ensuring accurate setups, efficient production, and adherence to strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical CNC milling machines
- Work with Fanuc controls
- Write and edit basic CNC programs (G-code)
- Program and operate positional indexers
- Read and interpret blueprints with working knowledge of GD&T
- Use precision measuring tools and gauges for first-piece and in-process inspection
- Maintain high accuracy, detail, and quality in all work
- Collaborate in a team-based shop environment
- Minimum 5 years of CNC milling setup experience
- Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing preferred
- Solid understanding of inspection tools and tight tolerance work
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
