Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and/or manual milling machines and lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Independently manage incoming jobs, prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure optimal machine performance
- Establish and improve processes, workflows, and best practices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- 5 years of machining experience (milling and lathe required)
- CNC setup and operation experience strongly preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Valid Connecticut driver's license and reliable transportation
- A self-starter who can confidently run a machining function independently
