Pay: $18–$22 per hour 2% commission on market sales

Role Overview
We’re looking for an outgoing, dependable, and detail-oriented Market Team Staff Member to represent The Skagit Table at farmers markets.
This role is perfect for someone who:

You will be the face of our brand in the field, bringing our values of quality, integrity, and hospitality to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Setup
- Safely load, transport, and unload products and display materials
- Drive company vehicle as needed (clean driving record required)
- Set up and break down an attractive, organized, and inviting booth
Customer Engagement
- Provide warm, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic service
- Educate customers about our catering services and storefront offerings
- Build relationships and create memorable experiences
Sales & Transactions
- Process transactions accurately using a POS system
- Actively promote products and catering services
- Contribute to revenue growth through strong customer interaction
Brand Representation
- Embody our commitment to local sourcing, quality, and hospitality
- Maintain professionalism and positivity at all times
Attention to Detail
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Keep displays clean, stocked, and visually appealing
- Ensure booth cleanliness and organization throughout events
Administrative
- Keep detailed record of sales and communicate best sellers/low sellers
- Communicate ideas for better booth displays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, and reach overhead and below the waist
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Must be 18 years or older
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience in food service, retail, catering, or markets
- Previous farmers market or event experience
Required:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High level of personal accountability and punctuality
- Organized, self-motivated, and proactive work style
Compensation
- $18–$22 per hour (DOE) (tips included)
- 2% Commission on Market Sales
We reward team members who actively engage customers and contribute to sales growth.
Schedule
- Must be available every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
- Markets start between April and May and run until October
