We are seeking a Front of House Event Catering Team Member who supports the successful execution of weddings and large-scale events by assisting with setup, service, and breakdown while providing exceptional hospitality. This role requires professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.

What This Role Looks Like Day to Day
This is a part-time/seasonal role with the opportunity to stay on the team for upcoming seasons. Typical hours can range from 6-20 hours a week, mostly from June to October.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces and buffet or plated service stations
- Provide polished, friendly, and attentive service to wedding guests and event attendees
- Serve food and beverages according to event style (buffet, family-style, plated, or passed appetizers)
- Support the event timeline and follow direction from the Event Lead or Catering Manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients on-site
- Uphold The Skagit Table’s standards for presentation, food handling, and guest experience
- Checking our scheduling app prior to events for scheduling details and communication
- Understanding your job role for the day
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous catering, hospitality, or event experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
- Comfortable working weddings and large-scale events with high attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation to event locations
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak wedding season dates
- Obtain Food Handler’s Permit by date of hire
- MAST Certified preferred but not required
Scheduling
- Must be available during weekends throughout peak season June-October, occasional weekday events may occur
- Most events will be scheduled months in advance, but will occasionally be added on shorter notice
- Team schedules will be sent 2 weeks in advance
- Event scheduling requires some last-minute adjustments, so must be flexible
