Pizza Maker & Closing Shift Lead

An established Italian-American pizza restaurant is seeking two dependable, mature, and hands-on Key Holders to support evening operations and lead closing shifts. This role is ideal for an experienced pizza maker or restaurant team leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow with a stable, team-oriented restaurant.

The ideal candidate combines strong pizza-making skills with leadership, accountability, and the ability to keep restaurant operations running smoothly through closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead evening shifts and oversee restaurant operations during closing hours.
• Prepare and make pizzas while maintaining consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Open or close the restaurant as assigned, including securing the premises and completing closing procedures.
• Handle cash, register reconciliation, and end-of-shift responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operating standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members, address shift-level issues, and help maintain a positive work environment.
• Assist with training and supporting employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and contribute to consistent, efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is required; pizza-making or pizza-kitchen experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior Key Holder, Shift Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of pizza preparation, kitchen workflow, and food safety.
• Mature, dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking responsibility for closing shifts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to direct and support team members.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment, especially during peak evening service.
• Takes pride in food quality, cleanliness, and consistent execution.
• Interested in long-term employment and opportunities to grow within the restaurant.
