We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-volume family-style, full-service breakfast and casual dining restaurant. This hands-on leadership role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, delivering exceptional guest service, developing team members, and driving restaurant performance.
The ideal candidate has experience in family dining concepts similar to IHOP, demonstrates strong job stability, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. No bar or liquor management experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and consistent execution of brand standards.
- Support hiring, training, scheduling, and employee development.
- Help manage labor costs, food costs, inventory, and controllable expenses.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and operational compliance.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Drive sales, profitability, and operational excellence through hands-on leadership.
Qualifications
- 2 years of Assistant General Manager or restaurant management experience.
- Experience in family-style, full-service, or breakfast restaurant concepts similar to IHOP is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and guest service skills.
- Experience with labor scheduling, food cost, inventory, and basic P&L management.
- Hands-on management style with the ability to lead in a high-volume environment.
- Stable work history with strong tenure (no job hoppers).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
