Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support manufacturing operations.
- Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.
- Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and components, minimizing stockouts.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure all purchased materials and services meet required quality standards and specifications for manufacturing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the purchasing process, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
- 5 years of progressive purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship development.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain logistics
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
