Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI).
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Specify, procure, and validate new production equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
- Lead or support pilot production runs, ramp-up activities, and production readiness reviews.
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions, process flows, and control plans for NPI products.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing yield, quality, and efficiency during NPI phases.
- Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks associated with new product launches.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Development within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex NPI projects from concept to mass production.
- Proficiency with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, Teamcenter) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes relevant to the industry (e.g., machining, electronics assembly, injection molding).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD, Mold Flow).
- Experience with automated manufacturing processes and systems.
- Scripting or programming skills for data analysis or process automation.
