Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze production costs and variances, investigating significant deviations.
- Perform inventory valuation and reconciliation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis for management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data and analysis.
- Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the month-end close process related to cost of goods sold and inventory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) in a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA or complex financial modeling.
