What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditor position at The Pfister Hotel?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description POSITION PURPOSE: Overseeing all Front
Desk Operations during the overnight shift while posting and balancing
all hotel payments for the day prior. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Greet guests
and check them in and out. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on
guests\' needs. Use computer system to input & retrieve information,
communicate guest requests/ complaints, and post transactions. Post and
balance revenues, payments, and credit card transactions daily. Follow
checklist to ensure the systems are correctly reset for operations the
following day. Work with accounting to ensure that balancing, reports,
etc are completed correctly. Effectively deal with internal and external
customers. Some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and
diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve
conflicts. Inform supervisor of issues for further follow up. Provide
answers regarding Madison area, restaurant information and hotel
services via telephone, in person, or through hotel messaging system.
Maintain an accurate bank count while handling cash, credit cards, and
checks. Answer guest requests for items, and deliver items to rooms if
needed. Perform additional duties or projects as assigned. POSITION
REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift. High School
diploma or equivalent required. Strong math skills required. Must have
the ability to produce high quality accurate work consistently and on
time. Accurately balance work daily totals of hotel. Strong customer
service and communication skills required. Ability to stand and move
throughout the front office and continuously perform essential job
functions. Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in
English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to access and accurately
input information using a moderately complex computer system. Hearing
and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
