About The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support and strengthen Ōnin’s compliance programs. This role ensures adherence to employment laws and internal policies while partnering cross-functionally to drive consistent, compliant practices across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Support HR policy development and ensure alignment with legal requirements
- Monitor regulatory changes and adapt compliance practices proactively
- Conduct audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain compliance documentation, reports, and audit readiness
- Support external audits and coordinate across teams
- Manage state-specific requirements (onboarding, leave policies, postings)
- Develop clear policies, procedures, and training materials
- Assist with compliance training and organization-wide communication
- Partner with HR, payroll, IT, and operations on compliance initiatives
- Experience in HR, compliance, or related field (staffing/multi-state a plus)
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and analyze risk
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
