NY office of a top law firm is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Specialist.

The Specialist, Strategic Initiatives (``Specialist'') plays a key role in advancing the Firm's business strategy and supporting high-priority initiatives led by the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff (``CSO''). This role requires independent judgment, the ability to manage complex projects, and strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. The Specialist partners with senior leadership, attorneys, and business services teams to drive execution, enhance collaboration, and ensure progress toward firmwide strategic goals.
In this capacity, the Specialist, Strategic Initiatives will:
* Support and provide input on firmwide business strategy focused on strengthening client relationships, driving organic growth, and expanding market share through cross-selling opportunities;
* Contribute to partner integration and collaboration initiatives, working closely with the Integration team, practice leaders, and other key internal stakeholders to promote alignment and effectiveness;
* Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of recurring meetings for major strategic initiatives, ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are engaged, informed, and prepared;
* Document and synthesize meeting outcomes, including take-aways, action items, timelines, and ownership; monitor and ensure timely follow-through;
* Maintain accurate and current dashboards, trackers, and reports that illustrate the status, milestones, and impact of ongoing strategic initiatives;
* Independently identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements that increase efficiency, accountability, and measurable results;
* Conduct business intelligence research and collaborate with the Research Services team to support strategic planning and partner initiatives;
* Attend internal meetings with the CSO and other firm leaders; assist in actioning decisions into executable plans;
* Draft written materials, presentations, talking points, and other communications that support strategic programs and leadership priorities;
* Assist with firm events, meetings, or special projects requiring oversight or presence, including occasional evening events and business travel; and
* Contribute to additional projects across the Firm as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (required); and
* Five years' experience preferred, with emphasis in professional services, project management, strategy, or related field.
Proficiencies:
* Knowledge of technologies, developments, trends and literature related to legal and professional services fields;
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Design skills a plus;
* Project management mindset; strong tactical and organizational skills;
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives;
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise discretion and judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
* Ability to think critically and strategically to provide analysis and recommended solutions;
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and levels;
* Excellent written, verbal and communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level materials; and
* Proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools, and project management platforms.
Salary : $102,000 - $135,000
