- Perform conflict checks for new clients and matters
- Obtain conflict sign-offs, waiver letters, and required internal approvals
- Create new clients and matters within the firm’s system
- Handle matter maintenance and scanning (reopens, address changes, title updates, rate changes, etc.)
- Manage engagement letters
- Maintain the conflict database and rebuild the conflict indexer
- Train new legal assistants on conflict procedures and new matter intake
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed
- Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a legal, banking, finance, or professional services environment a plus
- Strong PC proficiency and comfort with technology
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform under deadlines in a fast-paced setting
