About The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dedicated HR or Benefits professional to step into this critical role. Reporting directly to the VP of HR, this person will take ownership of all benefit-related programs, ensuring a smooth employee experience and strict compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Handle insurance enrollments, terminations, COBRA administration, and invoice reconciliation
- Oversee workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with insurers and alternate location programs
- Track and manage all employee leaves (FMLA, state-specific leaves, etc.)
- Prepare and submit reports for compliance and audits (e.g., WC, 5500, 401k, KSOP)
- Serve as point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and policy questions
- Maintain up-to-date benefit rate info and HR files in compliance with regulations
- Work closely with external benefit providers and internal stakeholders
- Support HR operations and compliance projects as needed
- 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits administration (or HR with heavy benefits exposure)
- Working knowledge of benefit compliance laws (FMLA, COBRA, ACA, etc.)
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Able to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
