The Keller Group is partnering exclusively with a well-established and profitable organization in Mesa that is seeking a Controller to join their leadership team. This is a pivotal role within a privately held company that has a strong history of growth, stability, and long-tenured leadership.
This position is being hired due to an upcoming retirement and offers a clear succession path to CFO in the coming years. The incoming Controller will work closely with executive leadership and equity partners, leading a lean, collaborative finance team while helping build a scalable financial infrastructure to support continued expansion.

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Manage external audit and tax compliance, as well as internal controls and policies
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash management strategies
- Support an ERP system implementation (NetSuite) alongside the current team
- Mentor and develop a small but highly effective accounting group
What We’re Looking For:
- CPA with 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
- Experience in a private equity or venture-backed environment preferred
- Excellent tenure with previous organizations
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with executives and investors
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality with a focus on collaboration and cultural fit
