CMM Programmer

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

The CMM Programmer is responsible for creating, editing, and running coordinate measurement machine (CMM) programs to facilitate the parts inspection process for our internal customers.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Create intermediate / advanced CMM Programs using Zeiss Calypso
• Layout / dimensional CMM reports
• Determine conformance of products based on data received from CMM
• Use Micrometer, caliper, depth micrometers, and various other hand tools.
• Perform ballooning of customer prints/drawings
• Create and document a detailed inspection plan
• Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs.
• Participate in the company culture of continuous improvement
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with quality control technologies including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures, including full knowledge of reading geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Committed to maintaining customer success through attention to detail on all inspection projects.
• Can effectively work alongside a cross-functional team to accurately collect and disseminate quality information at all levels of the organization.
• Well organized and can operate in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

• Standing for 10-hour shifts
• Moderate physical activity such as walking, and lifting is required on a daily basis
• Safety gear, such as approved safety glasses, are always required
• The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
• Clean climate-controlled manufacturing environment

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts Monday – Thursday
• Fridays are reserved for OT when necessary
• 1 st Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
