CMM Programmer
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
The CMM Programmer is responsible for creating, editing, and running coordinate measurement machine (CMM) programs to facilitate the parts inspection process for our internal customers.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Create intermediate / advanced CMM Programs using Zeiss Calypso
Layout / dimensional CMM reports
Determine conformance of products based on data received from CMM
Use Micrometer, caliper, depth micrometers, and various other hand tools.
Perform ballooning of customer prints/drawings
Create and document a detailed inspection plan
Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs.
Participate in the company culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Experience with quality control technologies including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures, including full knowledge of reading geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Well organized and can operate in a fast-paced environment.
Standing for 10-hour shifts
Moderate physical activity such as walking, and lifting is required on a daily basis
Safety gear, such as approved safety glasses, are always required
The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
Clean climate-controlled manufacturing environment
