This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a results-oriented environment, excels at client relationship management, and has a strong background in insurance defense litigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, including litigation strategy, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for carrier clients and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong carrier relationships while delivering exceptional client service.
- Mentor, supervise, and support associates and junior attorneys.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including strengthening existing relationships and generating new business.
- Ensure compliance with carrier litigation guidelines, billing protocols, and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to operational initiatives, talent development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth objectives and practice development.
- Active bar license required.
- 9 years of civil litigation experience, primarily focused on insurance defense.
- Significant first-chair trial and/or arbitration experience.
- Strong background representing insurance carriers or carrier-panel clients.
- Demonstrated success managing senior-level client relationships.
- Proven track record of accurate, compliant billing practices and strong realization performance.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing attorneys.
- Strong business development, leadership, and client management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a performance-driven compensation environment.
- Salary Range: $155,000 – $170,000 annually, based on experience.
