The role focuses on collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and strategic planning to enhance the employee benefits experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives) to ensure alignment with market trends and employee needs.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop strategic recommendations for enhancing benefits programs.
- Conduct benchmarking research to assess competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of benefits offerings.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance and addressing questions or concerns related to benefits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding employee benefits.
- Partner with benefits vendors and providers to manage enrollment processes, resolve issues, and maintain service quality.
- Prepare and analyze benefits data and reports to support leadership decision-making.
- Contribute to benefits communication efforts, including developing materials and hosting employee education sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Benefits Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within HR or finance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for engaging with a diverse workforce.
- Familiarity with benefits administration systems, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting employee benefits (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in HR or Benefits Management (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
