Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing finance and accounting team for a PE backed CPG firm. Working directly with the CFO, Controller and reporting into the Assistant Controller you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
- Utilize financial software, NetSuite
- Conduct detailed Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced functions to support financial reporting needs.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary financial information.
- Perform account reconciliation procedures for the general ledger and subsidiary accounts to maintain data integrity.
Skills
- 3-6 years of hands on accounting experience in a CPG or Manufacturing environment
- NetSuite
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis techniques including formulas like VLOOKUP and the use of advanced Excel functions
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, and bookkeeping tasks accurately.
