What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Paralegal position at The Forum Group?
The position will be responsible for supporting the needs of the Real Estate practice. The Title & Survey Paralegal is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm’s attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Assisting in all aspects of real estate transactional support, with an emphasis on handling substantive title and survey review, together with managing the corresponding process
- Conducting and managing title and survey review projects within the context of various real estate matters
- Ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys
- Writing title review summaries and objection letters and managing checklists relating to title matters
- General transaction management and execution, including preparing closing documents, closing checklists, coordinating lien searches, entity formation, drafting organizational documents, and preparing authority certificates and resolutions
- Obtaining services from outside vendors as needed and process billing and disbursement paperwork in connection with such services
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required
- At least 3 years supporting a Commercial Real Estate practice group in a law firm environment required
- Strong experience and focus on title and survey review and management
- Experience in a large real estate practice preferred
- Understanding of and experience with discrete title survey requirements and processes in lending transactions preferred
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
- Ability to work proactively and demonstrate initiative
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize among competing tasks under pressure and time constraints

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
