Senior Mechanical Engineer – UAS
Hampton, VA | On-site | U.S. Citizenship Required
Advanced Aircraft Company is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the mechanical design and full CAD assembly of high-performance VTOL unmanned aircraft systems.
This is a hands-on role covering concept design, detailed mechanical design, prototyping, flight testing, production transition, composite structures, propulsion integration, payload mounting, and manufacturability improvements.
We are looking for someone with:
10 years’ mechanical design experience
Small UAS / UAV / drone / aerospace systems background
Strong Fusion 360 experience
Aircraft structures, composites, 3D printing, and mechanical integration knowledge
A hands-on, startup mindset
U.S. Citizenship and ability to work on-site in Hampton, VA
