Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial management, and successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This individual will work closely with Superintendents, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
While healthcare construction experience is beneficial, the company is open to candidates from a variety of commercial construction backgrounds who can successfully manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Solicit bids, award subcontracts, and manage subcontractor relationships.
- Prepare and negotiate change orders, purchase orders, and project contracts.
- Track project costs and ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across all parties.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Support field operations and collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- 3 years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
- Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing healthcare construction projects, including hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings, or behavioral health facilities.
- Familiarity with occupied renovation projects and phased construction environments.
- Experience with public-sector construction projects.
- Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, infection control protocols, and complex MEP coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
