Lead Fleet Mechanic (Gas & Diesel)

Join our established, 65-year-old irrigation and landscaping company as our Lead Fleet Mechanic. You'll work on a diverse fleet of gas and diesel trucks, trailers, pickups, and landscaping equipment while helping keep our operation running efficiently. What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot engine, electrical, hydraulic, brake, and drivetrain systems
- Use scan tools and diagnostic software to identify issues
- Keep accurate maintenance records and minimize fleet downtime
- Perform (or become certified to perform) New York State vehicle inspections
What We're Looking For:
- 5 years of experience as a fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, or automotive mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Comfortable using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- NYS Inspector Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- ASE certifications are a plus
