Currently seeking a Bookkeeper for a full-time temporary to permanent position in Fall River, MA
Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:
-perform account, bank and balance sheet reconciliations
-Enter financial information onto accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
-Prepare and maintain all financial reports, statements, summaries and journal entries
-Assist with processing payroll
-Process invoices, track payments and other accounts payable and receivable processes
-Maintain the general ledger ensuring compliance with financial concepts
-Assist in audit by collaborating with outside vendors and accountants
-Support budgeting activities
-Perform administrative tasks that include scheduling appointments and maintaining filing systems
-Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or other organizational sectors
Requirements of Bookkeeper:
-Previous experience with financial concepts; general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing
-Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping systems and the ability to manage complex transactions involving debits & credits
-Familiar with GAAP standards
-Knowledge of corporate accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting procedures
-Strong computer skills including proficiency in accounting software
-Great analytical and problem-solving skills
-Ability to multi-task
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-High accuracy in 10-key typing
Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $24.00-$30.00/hr
