IT Specialist

Location: Grapevine, TX (On-site)

A growing community bank with a strong commitment to reliable technology, operational excellence, and sound risk management is seeking an IT Specialist to support day-to-day technology operations. The organization is operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and is looking for a high-performing technology professional who can take ownership, exercise sound judgment, and drive initiatives through completion.

The IT Specialist will serve as the execution owner for daily technology operations, translating direction from executive leadership into reliable follow-through across vendor management, issue resolution, audit and examination support, employee technology setup, asset lifecycle management, and operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute technology priorities, standards, and risk decisions established by executive leadership, converting direction into clear tasks, timelines, documentation, and completed outcomes

• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for managed-service providers, software vendors, telecommunications providers, and other technology partners

• Track vendor contracts, renewals, service commitments, open tickets, incidents, projects, remediation items, and outstanding deliverables through resolution

• Coordinate technology-related audits, examinations, and risk assessments, including evidence collection, response tracking, management follow-up, and closure of findings

• Manage new-employee technology setup, including hardware, software, identity, access, licensing, and security controls while coordinating with Human Resources and department leaders

• Support employee transfers and separations by updating or removing access, recovering technology assets, and maintaining complete records

• Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, contracts, ownership, locations, and lifecycle status

• Identify end-of-life and end-of-support technology assets and software and maintain a prioritized replacement plan

• Coordinate resolution of day-to-day technology issues, escalating security, availability, customer-impact, or control concerns promptly

• Maintain current procedures, system diagrams, vendor contacts, system inventories, access records, and other operational documentation required for continuity, audits, and examinations

• Support patching, endpoint protection, backups, access reviews, vulnerability remediation, business continuity testing, and other technology control activities

• Identify recurring operational issues and recommend practical improvements to processes, technology, and controls that reduce manual work, errors, delays, and vendor dependency

• Communicate technology issues and resolutions clearly to employees, vendors, auditors, examiners, and executive leadership

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in IT support, systems administration, technology operations, or vendor/service management

• Working knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint administration, Microsoft 365, hardware and software lifecycle management, and basic network and security concepts

• Strong project and issue-management skills with the ability to maintain accurate inventories, documentation, evidence, timelines, and follow-up logs

• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to nontechnical employees, vendors, auditors, examiners, and executive leadership

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters, identify material risks, and independently drive routine issues to completion

• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, integrity, discretion, and strong follow-through

• Ability to work effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and incomplete information

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of technology-operations experience within a bank, regulated financial institution, or similarly controlled environment

• Experience coordinating managed-service providers, vendor contracts and renewals, audits, regulatory examinations, vulnerability remediation, and business continuity testing

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , Microsoft, ITIL, or comparable credentials

• Familiarity with banking core systems, cybersecurity frameworks, vendor-management expectations, and financial-institution regulatory guidance
