Location: Uvalde, TX (Relocation is an option)

A community-focused bank in Uvalde, Texas is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join its lending team. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional with strong credit underwriting skills who is comfortable completing full credit spreads independently and without reliance on automated spreading software.

The Credit Analyst will support the bank's commercial lending team by analyzing borrower financial information, underwriting credit requests, and evaluating risk across a diverse range of lending relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, agricultural, and other commercial loan types.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive credit spreads and financial analysis independently without software assistance

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and other borrower information to assess creditworthiness

• Underwrite commercial real estate (CRE), commercial and industrial (C&I), agricultural, and other commercial loan requests

• Prepare detailed credit analyses, loan presentations, and underwriting recommendations

• Evaluate borrower repayment capacity, collateral, guarantor strength, and overall credit risk

• Review existing credits and monitor portfolio performance for changes in risk

• Work closely with commercial lenders and other members of the lending team to structure and evaluate credit opportunities

• Ensure underwriting and credit decisions are consistent with bank policies and established lending standards

• Maintain accurate and thorough credit documentation

• Provide ongoing support to the lending team throughout the credit approval and monitoring process

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of credit analysis or commercial banking experience

• Strong experience completing full credit spreads independently without software assistance

• Demonstrated experience underwriting CRE, C&I, agricultural, and other commercial loans

• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and cash flow analysis

• Ability to independently assess credit risk and repayment capacity

• Strong knowledge of commercial lending and credit principles

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred

• Community banking experience preferred

Compensation & Location:

• $60,000–$80,000 annual salary, depending on experience

• Fully onsite position in Uvalde, TX

• Relocation assistance/options available for the right candidate
