IT Operations Specialist β Infrastructure & Systems Support
Location: Richardson, TX
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Type: Contract-to-Hire | 6-Month Contract with Potential Direct Hire
Travel: Occasional travel to other company locations in Texas
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support across an enterprise IT environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and system-related issues.
- Support users across multiple locations and provide occasional onsite support at other Texas locations.
- Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft/Windows environments, Google Workspace, and IT service management platforms.
- Assist with user account administration, identity management, and access-related processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge-base resources.
- Participate in technology projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Follow established IT service management practices and service-level requirements.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and support asset management processes.
- Partner with other IT and business teams to improve service delivery and the end-user experience.
- Provide technical training and knowledge-sharing to business users when needed.
- Follow established workplace safety and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes.
Required Skills
- 3 years of hands-on experience in IT end-user support, systems support, or IT operations.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Microsoft/Windows environments.
- Experience with Google Workspace/Google Suite.
- Experience working with an ITSM platform such as ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working in a 100% onsite environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other locations within Texas.
Preferred Skills
- CompTIA A
- Microsoft certifications, such as MCP or MCSA
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification
- Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments
- Experience participating in system implementations, upgrades, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with IT asset management and knowledge management
