Desktop Support Specialist β L2/L3
Location: Richardson, TX
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Type: Contract-to-Hire | 6-Month Contract with Potential Direct Hire
Travel: Occasional travel to other Texas locations
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support in an enterprise environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and end-user technology issues.
- Provide onsite technical support and occasional support at other Texas locations.
- Support and administer technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft/Windows environments, Google Workspace, and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Assist with user account, identity, and access management activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge-base content.
- Participate in technology projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Follow established IT service management processes and service-level expectations.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and support asset management activities.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve service delivery and the end-user experience.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and knowledge-sharing to users as needed.
- Follow established workplace safety and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve systems and support processes.
Required Skills
- 3 years of hands-on experience in desktop support, end-user support, systems support, or IT operations.
- Strong experience with Active Directory and Microsoft/Windows environments.
- Experience supporting Google Workspace/Google Suite.
- Experience with ServiceNow or another enterprise ITSM platform.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently as well as within a collaborative IT team.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Plano, TX.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other Texas locations.
