Position Description:
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to support the upkeep of federal buildings in Yuma and San Luis, Arizona. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and attractive outdoor areas across high-security facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain all exterior grounds areas, including parking lots, walkways, pedestrian crossings, perimeter spaces, landscaped zones, and all property grounds surrounding the facility.
• Perform grounds tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and weed removal.
• Operate grounds equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, utility carts, etc.).
• Maintain irrigation systems (minor adjustments, reporting issues).
• Remove trash from exterior receptacles and maintain cleanliness around building entrances.
• Support seasonal tasks such as storm cleanup or special events.
• Perform safety checks to ensure walkways and outdoor paths are clear and hazard-free.
• Report any maintenance or safety problems to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work (heat, sun, repetitive movement).
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and operate grounds equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and follow daily task schedules.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check (HSPD-12).
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on federal, military, or commercial properties.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic horticulture.
• OSHA 10 or grounds-specific safety training (preferred but not required).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
