Position Description:
Teya Development Company, LLC is looking for an Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a professional who wants hands-on experience in accounting, exposure to government contracts, and a clear path for growth. You’ll work closely with experienced accountants and project teams while learning the ins and outs of compliant government accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support accounting operations for multiple government contracts and programs
- Assist with tracking and reporting labor, material, and indirect costs
- Participate in monthly close activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit documentation
- Support internal controls and compliance with FAR, CAS, and company policies
- Collaborate with program managers, finance leads, and shared services teams
- Assist with data requests related to internal, external, or DCAA audits
- Learn enterprise accounting systems and standardized processes
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management and government customers
- Support DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and other regulatory reviews
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and government regulations
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews
- Support monthly close and reporting processes
- Assist with year-end close and external audit activities
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- [3–5 ] years of solid accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, QuickBooks or related systems)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable working in Excel and learning new systems
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Willingness to learn government contracting and compliance requirements
- Clear communicator who enjoys working in a team environment
