| Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of care activities in an assigned specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic on an as-needed basis. The incumbent is assigned per the direction of the section manager of the PRN nursing pool. Work is performed as part of the total healthcare team to provide complete patient evaluations/assessments. |
- Collaborate with LVNs, RNs, physicians, and physician assistants to support patient care
- Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms, ensuring a comfortable experience
- Perform patient triage, assessing urgency and clinical needs
- Record vital signs and obtain brief medical history for provider review
- Administer oral and injectable medications as prescribed by the physician
