What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Advisor position at Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr?
Advises individuals and provides guidance services regarding complex issues of assigned area. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. This title will require an extended, descriptive title.
- Collaborates with faculty and senior lead advisors in the conceptualization, design, implementation, evaluation, and grading of pharmacy practice laboratory courses and academic courses for TTUHSC pharmacy students.
- Serves as a member of teaching teams for pharmacy practice courses as assigned by the Department Chair. Anticipated course involvement includes Applied Patient Care (community pharmacy practice, dispensing, and communication skills), Parenterals (sterile IV preparation), Patient Assessment (physical assessment), Immunizations, and Non-sterile Compounding laboratory courses.
- Provides instruction, skills-based training, and assessment of student performance in assigned laboratory and simulation activities.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, including prescription processing, pharmacy law, immunization practices, community-based patient care, sterile and non-sterile product preparation, and other areas relevant to pharmacy education.
- Assists with simulation-based learning experiences and supports simulation-related research activities.
- Develops and sustains professional working relationships with TTUHSC faculty, staff, students, and external partners, including health care organizations and community stakeholders.
- Participates in laboratory, simulation, and course-team meetings, workshops, and trainings to ensure readiness, consistency, and alignment of instructional materials and activities.
