Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient operation of the medical practice. We have 2 providers and a nurse practitioner in our office.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding and billing information.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the facility.
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience in patient care settings, preferably in internal medicine or hospital environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
