The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process while supporting various HR and administrative functions. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and serves as a key point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries.
Salary Range: $50-55k, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process while supporting various HR and administrative functions. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and serves as a key point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries.
Salary Range: $50-55k, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain and manage timekeeping systems, including employee clock-in/out records
- Set up and manage employee direct deposits and payroll deductions (e.g., benefits, child support, uniforms, advances)
- Administer payroll tax payments on a bi-weekly and quarterly basis
- Submit HSA and 401(k) contributions in a timely manner
- Enter and update employee information, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and address updates
- Report new hires through the appropriate state system and ensure E-Verify compliance
- Process employment applications and assist with onboarding documentation, including drug testing and background checks/badging
- Handle employee verification requests and respond to unemployment/reemployment claims
- Collect and verify daily payroll reports for accuracy
- Manage certified payroll reporting, including OCIP/CCIP and Davis-Bacon compliance
- Update project records and employee work activity in accounting systems
- Reconcile subcontractor hours, invoices, and applicable deductions
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Prior payroll processing experience required
- Strong communication skills with a professional and personable phone presence
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Experience with payroll and/or accounting systems preferred
- College degree not required
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
