Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager
A multi-disciplinary engineering firm is seeking an experienced Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, and intersections. This role involves managing design, coordinating teams, and ensuring successful project delivery from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of roadway and transportation projects
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates in compliance with standards
- Manage client relationships across public and private sectors
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Support professional development and industry engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
- 10–15 years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Experience with traffic signal design (preferred)
- Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with DOT, tollway, or local agency projects preferred
- Strong communication and project management skills
