Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager
Quigg Engineering Inc. (QEI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm servicing both private and public sectors in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa. We are seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis at LaGrange, IL office.

Responsibilities:
- Design of highway, interchange, and intersection projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects in accordance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Develop relationships and interact with public and private clients throughout the development of a project.
- Work with a diversified technical staff to accomplish project objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines during the course of a project to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Participate in member organizations to develop relationships, advance technical knowledge, and enhance QEI’s reputation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois.
- 10-15 years of experience of increasing levels of responsibility
- Traffic signal experience, preferred.
- Proficient in relevant design software, Microstation/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with MoDOT, IDOT, Tollway, and Local Public Agency work is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.
Competencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project document production
- Experience with geometric layouts and intersection design and ADA layouts
- Experience with traffic signal and storm sewer design a plus
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with other members of the design team
- Possesses excellent time-management skills, thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources
- Understanding and applying design criteria, requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
- Takes initiative on tasks in coordinating with other members of the design team
