Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all financial operations of a healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle management, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the organization's long-term financial stability while supporting high-quality patient care and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, reimbursement, billing, collections, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitor investments, capital expenditures, and organizational financial health.
- Identify financial risks and implement effective internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) preferred.
- CPA, CMA, or HFMA certification preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Healthcare or hospital finance experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with financial planning, audits, and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
