We are seeking a Technology Advantage & Capability Development Analyst to support the development of Technology Advantage (TA) initiatives and the integration of Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT) into future military capabilities.
The role focuses on technology analysis, capability development, technology adoption, warfare development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Security Clearance: Active Secret-level security clearance required
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, assess, and catalogue Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT).
- Analyze how emerging technologies can address military capability gaps and future operational challenges.
- Support the development and refinement of Technology Advantage vision, concepts, and action plans.
- Analyze how Technology Advantage can support warfare development and capability-development priorities.
- Support the definition of Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Final Operating Capability (FOC).
- Support technology adoption, experimentation, innovation, and integration with related capability initiatives.
- Develop research-based reports, assessments, recommendations, and supporting programme outputs.
- Support the development of a Technology Advantage community of interest and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain relevant technology and capability information and support stakeholder engagement activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information & Communication Technology, Engineering, or a closely related scientific/technical discipline, plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, 6 years of extensive and progressive relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Minimum 2 years of experience acquiring, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting Research & Technology (R&T) information.
- Experience assessing Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT) and their potential military applications.
- Knowledge of Science & Technology (S&T) information sources, including defence research organizations, academic institutions, government, and industry.
- Experience identifying technology adoption pathways and translating emerging technologies into practical military applications.
- Experience in capability development, technology strategy, defence innovation, or warfare development is highly relevant.
- Strong research, analytical, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools.
