We are looking for an experienced Emerging Technology Analyst to research, assess and support the adoption of Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) for future defence and operational requirements.
Security Clearance: Active Secret-level security clearance required
Key Responsibilities :
- Research and identify Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) and maintain technology knowledge bases.
- Collect, analyse and interpret Science & Technology (S&T) information from research, defence, academic and industry sources.
- Assess how emerging technologies can address current and future operational challenges.
- Identify potential technology adoption pathways and capability opportunities.
- Analyse capability gaps and recommend relevant technology solutions.
- Support technology experimentation, innovation and capability development activities.
- Prepare analytical reports, briefings and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support strategic foresight, defence planning, concept development and experimentation activities.
- Track the development and adoption of emerging technologies across nations and organizations.
- Educate stakeholders on the opportunities, risks and potential applications of EDTs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, Engineering or a related technical field.
- 4 years of relevant professional experience; or 6 years of extensive relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2 years of experience researching and analysing Science & Technology information.
- Knowledge of defence research, technology institutions, academia and relevant information sources.
- Experience assessing Emerging & Disruptive Technologies and their potential military/operational applications.
- Strong analytical, research and technical communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and online research tools.
