Position Summary
TECCA seeks a dynamic, mission-driven Coordinator of Innovative Pathways to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the school’s state-approved Innovative Pathways and My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) programming in
alignment with Massachusetts DESE guidance. This role is responsible for coordinating pathway coursework, MyCAP implementation, work-based learning experiences, and community partnerships to ensure students have equitable access to high-quality, personalized college and career readiness opportunities. As an evolving and expanding initiative, this position requires initiative, flexibility, and strong systems-building skills. The Coordinator works collaboratively with academic
teams, school counseling services, and external partners to support student success
from middle school career exploration through high school pathway completion.
Key Responsibilities
-Coordinate, implement, and supervise TECCA’s Innovative Pathways and MyCAP programming in compliance with DESE requirements.
- Embed MyCAP across pathway coursework, advising, and work-based learning experiences.
-Monitor student progress in pathway courses, MyCAP milestones, and career exploration activities.
-Implement pathway application, selection, enrollment, probation, waitlist, and exit procedures in accordance with TECCA policy.
-Ensure ongoing compliance with DESE documentation, reporting, and accountability standards.
-Use student data and outcomes to support continuous program improvement and expansion.
-Coordinate and oversee work-based learning experiences, including internships, cooperative education, job shadowing, and career-connected learning.
-Supervise the Innovative Pathways internship program, ensuring appropriate student placement, supervision, and evaluation.
-Align work-based learning experiences with students’ MyCAP goals and pathway plans.
-Serve as the primary liaison among students, families, staff, and employer partners related to work-based learning.
-Identify, develop, and sustain partnerships with employers, higher education institutions, workforce development organizations, and community agencies.
-Conduct outreach to expand internship, career exposure, dual enrollment, and credentialing opportunities for students.
-Collaborate with partners to support postsecondary transitions and workforce readiness.
- Collaborate with middle and high school teams, school counseling services, and other TECCA departments to ensure alignment of academic programming,
-MyCAP implementation, and pathway goals.
-Support counselors and educators with MyCAP advising, curriculum integration, and student recruitment into Innovative Pathways.
-Ensure a cohesive and equitable student experience from middle school exploration through high school pathway completion.
-Collect, analyze, and report data related to enrollment, MyCAP completion, pathway participation, work-based learning outcomes, and postsecondary readiness.
-Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for school leadership, the TECCA Board, and DESE as required.
-Use data to inform program sustainability and long-term planning.
-Serve as the internal and external point of contact for Innovative Pathways and MyCAP programming.
-Develop and deliver presentations and informational materials for staff, families,
community partners, and leadership.
-Supervise designated support staff or others assisting with pathway and internship coordination, as applicable.
-Support the implementation of MCAS testing across schools
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning.
This role prioritizes expanding access to high-quality, culturally responsive college and career opportunities, with a specific focus on identifying and developing pathways that meet the needs of TECCA’s diverse student population.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
