The paraprofessional assists in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting academic and behavioral goals, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities: Assist special education teachers in delivering instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in general education and/or special education classrooms.Implement behavior intervention plans and support positive behavior strategies.Help students with activities of daily living, which may include toileting, feeding, mobility, and hygiene, if required.Adapt classroom materials and modify assignments under the guidance of the teacher to meet students needs.Support students with using assistive technology and accommodations.Supervise students in various virtual and in person (when appropriate) school settings (classrooms, field trips, etc.).Document student progress, both academically and/or social-emotionally through observations as directed by the teacher or student liaison.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all federal and state regulations regarding special education.Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.Other duties outlined in the Employee Handbook and as assigned by the school principal.
