Primary Function
We are looking for an energetic, self-directed, and motivated individual to join our Technology Experience & Community group as a Senior LETS Specialist on our AV/IT field engineering team. This hands-on role involves installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting systems while providing advanced support for a wide range of AV/IT technology and services. You will also advise management on emerging technologies, test and verify new solutions, and serve on multiple service or project teams in various roles such as Subject Matter Expert or Technical Lead. This position will interface with consultants, integrators, vendors, general contractors, trades, and other partners.
Please note: This is an onsite position and may require occasional evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Experience interfacing with: Consultants, AV integrators, General contractors, Electrical trades, Vendors and manufacturers.
- Ability to support a large, distributed campus environment.
- Comfort working in a matrixed reporting structure.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents, requests, and configurations.
- Supporting the full lifecycle of AV/IT systems (design → install → configure → maintain → retire).
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds)
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Crestron programming, troubleshooting, SIMPL, HTML5
- Virtual Control (VC 4): programming, loading, setup, Linux
- DSP configuration (Biamp preferred)
- Dante configuration, routing, and setup
- Audio commissioning and sound reinforcement
- AVoIP systems, including QoS configuration
- AV networking fundamentals
- Cable termination and infrastructure work
- RS 232 device control
- Lecture capture systems (Echo360 strongly preferred)
- Video streaming technologies & protocols (RTP, RTSP, HLS, RTMP, MPEG DASH, UDP)
- Video codecs (H.264, MPEG2, VP8, ProRes)
- Digital signage platforms (Appspace, Visix)
- Enterprise AV management (Crestron XIO, Fusion)
- Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms installation/configuration
- Media control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX)
- Matrix switchers, audio/video routing hardware
- Programming/scripting (Perl, PowerShell, Bash, regex)
- Database familiarity (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL)
- Windows and macOS hardware/software support
- Web content management (WordPress)
- Media management systems (Kaltura)
- Remote support tools (Bomgar)
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WLAN, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP
- Identity/authentication familiarity: LDAP, CAS, Shibboleth
- Onsite presence with occasional evening/weekend/holiday work
Education & Experience
- 8 years of progressively responsible experience with AV/IT technology in a support role.
- Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred. (Work experience accepted in lieu of degree)
- AVIXA CTS or CTS I
- ITIL Foundations
- Crestron certifications (various)
- Dante Level 2/3
