Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role is responsible for supervising a team, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and implementing best practices to optimize payment processes. The Accounts Payable Manager plays a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to accounts payable.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.
- Manage the month-end closing process for accounts payable and assist with year-end audits.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving payment issues as needed.
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on accounts payable metrics and performance to senior management.
- Ensure the business permits, licenses and certifications are current and active.
- Prepare and file annual 1099s and monthly sales use tax reports.
- Maintain equipment and building lease schedules.
- Collaborate with other accounting team members to ensure seamless workflow and data integrity.
Qualifications:
- BS degree with business, accounting, or finance focus preferred
- 5 years of full cycle Accounts Payable experience
- 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, work environment with the flexibility to adapt quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with a diverse group
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient Microsoft Excel Skills (formulas, formatting, and pivot tables)
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and accuracy while meeting deadlines
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
