AML/EDD Analyst

An established financial services organization is seeking an AML/EDD Analyst in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI. This hybrid role supports complex anti-money laundering and enhanced due diligence investigations, helping maintain compliance through detailed research, documentation, and case analysis.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)
• Locations: Charlotte, North Carolina or Detroit, Michigan

Responsibilities:

• Conduct AML investigations in line with established policies, procedures, and risk philosophy
• Perform enhanced due diligence reviews using internal risk reports, negative news, public records, and other research tools
• Complete background investigations as required
• Prepare accurate narratives and supporting documentation for investigative findings
• Research accounts and transactions, identify trends, escalate non-standard issues, and meet daily production expectations

• 1 year of financial crimes compliance experience
• Bachelor's degree or related work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple duties, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively on project teams

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of BSA, the Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements
• Experience with account and transaction research, compliance reporting, and investigative narrative writing
• Familiarity with regulatory developments and compliance publications
• Strong judgment, discretion, and a proactive, self-directed work style
