The Opportunity:
At Talisman Advisory Partners, we’re seeking an Associate Consultant to join our Finance & Investment Professionals practice in Los Angeles, CA or NYC, NY.
This role is suited to an early-career recruitment professional looking to develop within a high-performance, advisory-led environment, supporting senior consultants and partners on complex, senior-level search mandates.
The successful candidate will gain structured exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle, with a clear pathway toward managing searches independently and assuming broader commercial responsibility over time.
What We're Looking For:
- Approximately 2 years’ experience in recruitment, executive search, or a related professional services environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Commercially minded, performance-driven, and motivated by progression
- Resilient, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Exposure to finance, infrastructure, energy, professional services, or similar sectors
- Experience in executive search, retained search, or a specialist recruitment desk
- Advanced LinkedIn Recruiter or CRM experience
What You'll Do:
- Conduct targeted candidate research and market mapping across defined financial and investment markets
- Develop and maintain talent maps, longlists, and pipelines for active mandates
- Engage senior-level candidates through LinkedIn, email, and telephone
- Screen candidates against role specifications and client requirements
- Support execution of multiple live searches, including interview coordination, feedback management, and candidate communication
- Prepare candidate summaries, shortlists, and client briefing materials
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM and search tracking systems
- Contribute to market intelligence, compensation benchmarking, and talent insights
- Progressively support client relationship management and business development activities
