In this Payroll Specialist role, you will play a vital role ensuring employees are compensated accurately and in accordance with all regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Administer and process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and provide weekly payroll journal entry data to the Accounting Department.
  • Submit 401(k) contribution files and oversee related benefit deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records and wage garnishments in the HRIS system.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports.
  • Monitor and reconcile vacation, sick, and earned time balances, and calculate accruals.
  • Process employee expenses and weekly reimbursements through the payroll system.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation as required.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing payroll policies, procedures, and system efficiencies.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and payroll/timekeeping systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Deep knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to maintain confidential records and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong communication skill set for interacting with employees and collaborating with HR/Finance.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • BA or BS degree in human resources, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Experience with other HRIS or payroll systems in addition to ADP.
  • Certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP, FPC) or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Prior experience supporting audit processes and payroll reporting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to draft, edit, and manage written materials and correspondence.
  • Agility in adapting to system updates and regulatory changes.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
