Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily revenue cycle operations, including client intake, eligibility verification, coding, billing, collections, and denials management.
- Manage reimbursement processes for both Medicaid and commercial payers within the home care services sector.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as days in AR, denial rates, cash collections, and net revenue yield.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state and federal regulations.
- Lead and develop managers and frontline staff across multiple service locations, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Partner with operations and clinical leadership to resolve documentation and charge capture issues, improving billing accuracy.
- Optimize workflows within EMR/RCM systems and supervise third-party billing vendors.
- Support audits, payer reviews, and internal compliance initiatives to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
- Implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability as the organization grows.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between billing systems and payroll operations in home care.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a strong preference for home care settings.
- Proven expertise in Medicaid and MCO billing, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive hands-on experience with EMR systems and RCM technologies.
- Strong leadership background managing multi-site teams and operational KPIs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, supportive management style.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Axiscare or similar home care management software.
- Advanced understanding of commercial payer rules and evolving payer requirements for home care services.
- Direct experience supporting payer audits, reviews, and internal compliance initiatives.
- Implemented process improvements that have resulted in measurable operational or financial gains.
- Strong grasp of how home care billing interacts with payroll processing platforms.
